So apparently the only place in San Diego that carries the Husker Football games is the Mission Valley Hooters. Now luckily this fine family restaurant is right up the road from where I reside. Such a great atmosphere full of flowing hair, butt cleavage, and of course massive boobs. That of course were the characteristics of the lovely table of gentlemen sitting right beside us. Aren't oversized jerseys supposed to cover up the epidemic sweeping across the nation known as "man-boobs?" It was a crazy atmosphere nonetheless as over 100 Husker Fans devoured wings and swilled beer. It was game time. I asked around and found people from Omaha to Imperial. Even two bartenders that worked at Woody's in Lincoln were there cheering on the Scarlet and Cream.
Watching the game it was amazing to see the Huskers control the game from start to finish. And apparently BoBo looked through some of the things Callhan had put in storage and found Nebraska's running game. Now wait a second...hold the phone! Did Joe Ganz score on a 33-yard option keeper?! That actually works in college football in the year 2008?! Ye sit does. As well as a power running game by Marlon Lucky and a speed demon to that outside in Roy Helu Jr. And congrats to Ganz on throwing, rushing, and receiving a touchdown in the game against those darn Aggies. His performance this season can be simply described as Ganz-tastic. Yes, I said it.
The Huskers head into their bye week with a job well done as they get ready for the Hokies and there star Freshman pupil in Tyrod Taylor. That gives Carl "I wear athletic shirts" Pelini to figure out a way to stop a mobile QB. As for me during the bye week, watch the Monday Night Football game when the Chargers play the Jets. I will be the one holding the sign that says, "WATCH OUT FAVRE, CALLAHAN HAS A WAY OF BRINGING DOWN LEGENDS, JUST ASK NEBRASKA." It was either that or "CALLAHAN DOESN'T CHARGE EXTRA FOR RUSTY TROMBONES."
