NOBODY HAPPIER AFTER GAME THAN THIS GUY
Is it really time to panic as Husker fans? Three losses in a row, not really a good sign of things to come. However, after this weekend, it looks like the Huskers are taking a step in, or around, the right direction. Virginia Tech: made horrible decisions and the 'Skers shot themselves in the foot. Missouri: that was just bad from the get go. Be honest people, you did not pick the Huskers to win that one.
Texas Tech: Yes, it was a heartbreaker. But let us not forget that they were No. 7 in the nation and lead the NCAA in total yards. Now let's take a second to go over that game shall we? It was the Huskers first road trip of the year. They had not even been South of the Hi-Way Diner before Saturday. They went into that game with a dismal ranking in pass defense against the top passing game in the country. Yet they manage to hold Texas Tech to 284 yards in the air compared to their average of 413.2 yards/game. Shaun Watson showed flashes of genius with his play calling balancing out the pass and the run. Joe Ganz controlled the possession clock like a pro and marched down the field in awesome fashion during their scoring drives. And even thought they took the corner and scored in OT, Michael Crabtree was thrown to the ground like a lil' biatch. So taste it.
Yes they lost, but at least they didn't give up which looks good for the future. Saturday they have Iowa State in Ames. What does that mean? Who the hell knows. But isn't it funny that the Cyclones' No. 2 QB quit and want to come back to Nebraska? Makes me chuckle so hard about two drops of pee came out, wait...make that three.
