Coach Pelini is making an effort to keep his Huskers out of bars and from dancing with Cougars.
Yesterday marked a momentous occasion in the state of Nebraska; spring practice started. With his first year now officially underway, coach Pelini thinks the football team has taken a different approach to the game on the field and life off the field.
With 4 current and former huskers being either arrested or ticketed in the past month, Pelini outlawed any football player from being at a bar, any bar. Projected quarterback Joe Ganz thinks it’s a harsh sentence, but a necessary step in the right direction.
Pelini also made mention that the defensive unit looked very impressive in their first run though since a 5-7 and virtually last in the 119 teams in total defense, 2007 campaign. Encouraged by this message boards across the Husker Nation are buzzing about the future Blackshirts. Only time will tell if Nebraska has the same on field swagger, but it appears that Pelini has them going in the right direction.
